Uncle Douggie.....Save a seat for me
At Christmas time my family was hurting. My brothers and their wives have young children too. Sebby should have been there. I was 38 weeks pregnant too so we needed to keep it low key and everyone was of course looking out for us.
My brother, Doug was hosting lunch at his home with his wife Hannah. He wrote this poem in preparation for the day. There was a seat for Sebby, a reindeer plate and a cracker just for him. The love swelled in the room as Doug read this poem, a Grace-like gesture for my Sebby. A family tradition we can carry on each Christmas.
